Not sure if this is the right forum or not... Here is a rough tab of what things look like so far

INTRO

e | - 5 - 5 5 5- - - - 3 3 3 - - - - 3 3 3 - - - - 3 3 3 -
B| - - 6-6 6 6- - 5 - 6 6 6 - - - - 6 6 6 - - 6 – 6 6 6 -
G| - - - -5 5 5- - - 3 3 3 3 - - 3 – 3 3 3 - - - 5 5 5 5 -
D| 3- - -3 3 3- - - - 5 5 5 - - - 3 3 3 3 - 5 - - 5 5 5 - x 2
A| - - - -x x x- 3- - 6 6 6 - - - - 5 5 5 - - - - 3 3 3 -
E| - - - -x x x- - - - x x x – 5- - 6 6 6 - - - - x x x -

VERSE

e | - 5 - 5 5 5- - - - 3 3 3 - - - - 3 3 3 - - - - 3 3 3 -
B| - - 6-6 6 6- - 5 - 6 6 6 - - - - 6 6 6 - - 6 – 6 6 6 -
G| - - - -5 5 5- - - 3 3 3 3 - - 3 – 3 3 3 - - - 5 5 5 5 -
D| 3- - -3 3 3- - - - 5 5 5 - - - 3 3 3 3 - 5 - - 5 5 5 - x 3
A| - - - -x x x- 3- - 6 6 6 - - - - 5 5 5 - - - - 3 3 3 -
E| - - - -x x x- - - - x x x – 5- - 6 6 6 - - - - x x x -

CHORUS (so far)

e | 3 3 - 3 3 – 3 3 3
B| 6 6 - 6 6 – 3 3 3
G| 3 3 - 3 3 – 3 3 3
D| 5 5 - 5 5 – 3 3 3
A| 5 5 - 5 5 – 5 5 5
E| 3 3 - 3 3 – 6 6 6

I'm trying to figure out what chords would go well to round out the chorus, I've tried just repeating those two chords again for the chorus but it doesnt sound right, it needs another chord or maybe two to round it out and lead back into the verse again. The sort of feel I'm looking for is a sort of upbeat, happy, beachy feel...
I have only been playing a couple of months so I don't know really anything about theory... I'm not even sure what Key the songs in although I know what the chords are called... any and all advice would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone
Sam

Looks to be in Bb, so that G I recommended should probably be a Gm.

ED:
You might try a Cm instead of C as well, but I think it sounds good major.
