No, seriously.
How do I implement animations into websites?
I know about gif and swf, but is there a way to convert avi to these formats?

Google AVI to GIF software...

Or ask Scourge, I think his avatars used to be some video file converted to GIF.

Pretty much, yeah.

What I use is Adobe ImageReady CS2. You can just right-click the .avi file and "Open With: Adobe ImageReady CS2" and voila, there it is.

Of course, you gotta fiddle around with it a bit to make it a suitable animation, I find the FPS tends to fuck up a bit when you do that, but yeah.

I'm sure you can download IR CS2 somewhere - pirated of course.

I'm sure there's other programs you can do this with but I've never come across a decent one...
