What do you think of any of these basses:
-Mark Hoppus Signature Bass
-Geddy Lee Jazz Bass
-Mike Dirnt Precision Bass
-Marcus Miller Jazz Bass
-Flea FB4

I own a Mike Dirnt Precision Bass, it's a great bass guitar, people say the only thing good is the look but the tone and volume is great. It's louder than usual bass guitars. At band practise my bass is louder than my guitarist amp and:

Guitar Amp (100 Watts up full volume)
My bass amp (30 watts up full volume)
So the bass adds a lil volume.

I personally think the Mark Hoppus signature is quite catching for a beginner-to-intermediate player, and the Mike Dirnt bass looks awesome.

Geddy Lee rocks everyone's socks, but it's pricey to be Geddy Lee.

It's even pricier to be Flea.

Or Marcus Miller. Heck, everything's expensive.

Well Flea\'s is probably the best but look at the price. I would have to say it goes, Flea\'s, Geddy, Hoppus, Dirnt. I\'m not sure about the Marcus Miller because I have never played it.

I'd say it goes Geddy, Marcus, Flea, Dirnt. That's it.... no Hoppus it's too far down the list.

+1 The mark hoppus bass comes nowhere near those in any class.

The Lado Unicorn made for Steve Harris being the most awesome.

My friends dad built that bass for him. He used to work for Fender.

Look at my handle name..... if that isn't enough, then let me tell you:
John Myung. The end.

+1. The Geddy Lee is truly better than any new American I've played. The Marcus Miller is pretty sweet, and a good deal with active electronics. I've heard the Flea is quite good, as well as the Dirnt.

Sex, pizza, the smell of fresh washing and slap bass.

The Flea's the best for playability, fast neck and stuff, but the Dirnt is one hawt bass so it wins any day.

My favorite out of those is the Flea bass it's so pricey, funny the 4 string is cheaper than the 5 version.

DOH.

Lol, no offense, but extra material goes into 5 strings, increasing the value.

Hey anyone forgetting something? Yeah The Stu Hamm bass If you can afford to spend like 1,300 on that Urge II bass. And im with the Steve Harris kid.
My Gear:
Rickenbacker 4003 midnight blue bass
Fender Rumble 100W
And a Cry baby Bass Wah 105Q

Out of the ones I've played, the Dirnt feels pretty damn nice. Only thing that turns me off is the headstock being a Tele style. Definately makes it look unique, though.

It crushes Mexican Fender P's in tone and American P's in value and arguably in tone (The Seymour Duncan pickup owns).
And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me: no, nor woman neither... nor women neither.

I'd probly have to go with the Tom Araya sig, just cus it's shiny, but i do like the Stu Hamm sig. I like Flea's actual sig bass with all the stickers and crap.
#33
The John Entwistle signature, the warwick stryker <3 Ah, why do they not make it in 5-strings?! I would have bought it then, I need a good 5-string

Exactly, which is why it's weird that the one that should cost more (the 5 string version) is cheaper.

Id say Flea's. But some other cool signature basses that I personally like are Billy Sheehan's Yamaha Attitude X, Tony Levin's, Nathan East's Yamaha, and Entwistle's Warwick Buzzard.
