Okay so I just got my standard telecaster and I'm wondering what I should upgrade on it. I'm pretty much set on getting the vintage noiseless pickups put in but are there any other upgrades that I should consider? thanks.

One upgrade that almost always make a difference in tone is to change out the stock bridge and trem to Callaham. They make vintage style parts that are excellent. It brings some spank and clarity to your tele. The treble sounds fuller without becoming piercing and the bass becomes less muddled.
It's a fine line between clever and stupid.
