Right im modding my bass and the original neck i had was 22 frets, now the new neck i bought is 24, will this mess up the scale of the bass and everything?

We can't tell you unless we know the type of bass and where you got the neck. Some 24 fret necks are made to fit onto a 22 fret body. Other times you have to rout a longer neck pocket.

It's a cheap fender p-bass style copy and a cheap neck off ebay, probably not made to fit a 22 fret bass or anything

If that is the case your new neck might not fit at all. It's hard to say. Are you sure the 2 necks have the same scale?

Both necks are 34" so they are the same scale but i know nothing about the neck, it was just cheap so i didnt bother finding out anything about it

then you are going to have to do some routing to make the neck fit.

You don't HAVE to extend the cutaway, but it would be a good idea.

Yeah obviously but apparently it would alter the scale too, i have got mixed responses, some say it will f**k up the scale and others say it will be fine
