Is a Wah pedal and a crybaby the same effect? i play on the dunlop original crybaby and im wondering if its the same as a wah.

Crybaby is what dunlop call their wahs. "Crybaby" is a name, not an effect. Just like "Small Clone" is a name that EHX called their chorus pedal.

Edit: Ahh, beaten.
These go to eleven...

They named it "crybaby" because Jim Dunlop thought it sounded like a crying baby. However, fo ra classic wah sound, the crybaby is the best and warmest. I have the crybaby classic with a fasel inductor.

a Crybaby makes Babies Cry. hence the name 'CryBaby'

i dont know what that guy from Rocktron was thinking though.
