i mainly play metal and heavy stuff so i want a nice bass response from the pickups as well as the mids. i play classic rock also, but i could use the neck for that. i was thinking emgs, but are there better pups out there like seymour duncans or gubson pups for metal. cleans matter too but if you cant suggest any clean tones i was savin up for that boss acoustic simulator

im pitting them in my epi les paul. i use drop tuning sometimes on it but i usually play in 1/2 step down. i was thinking of getting a duncan distortion or an invader in the bridge and havent decided on what to get for the neck. i want the neck pup to do those creamy gnr/ metallica leads.

^ SD Alnico Pro II is what slash uses in the neck, and it has very nice cleans.

Stay away from invaders, they're horribly muddy. Gibson pickups are overpriced, and EMGs won't give you nice enough cleans (and you can't really have just the one EMG, the wiring would be a bugger). The distortion seems like a pretty nice pickup.

If you're in the UK take a look at swinesheads. www.swinesheadpickups.co.uk

A lot cheaper than duncans and the same quality (probably better IMO).
A dwarf might hear you. What then?
