hey guys

as the title pretty much explains it all, i am after a tab with mainly chords to play, i dont mind what kind of music it is, preferably rock/metal, but if anyone could suggest any good songs, i would be very greatfull

"Closing Time" by Semisonic. Good party song.

"Zombie" by The Cranberries. Same.

Almost ANY Neutral Milk Hotel song.

"July, July" by The Decemberists.

Search UG for any of those songs, and find the chord tabs. I know that all 4 are on UG; I learned 'em here.
Hey Joe - Jimi Hendrix
Have you ever seen the rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Any Tenacious D
Comfortably Numb, Breathe in the Air - Pink Floyd
Tangerine - Led Zeppelin
Knockin on heaven's door- bob dylan (Guns n Roses cover is cool too)

Patience- guns n roses

Summer of '69- bryan adams

good riddance- green day

wonderwall- oasis

there she goes- the las

wild thing- the troggs

breakfast at tiffanies- deep blue something

These are all classic chorded numbers but sound cool

by chords do you mean struming chords or chicken-pickin chords?

House of the Rising Sun is a good song for broken chords

Disturbed - Darkness is a good song acousticly.

the first parts of Metallica's "Battery" and "Nothing Else Matters" has good broken chords and regular chords

I dont know if the song is on here but there was this one dude "_MaTrIoK_" who made this one song called "Mushy Food" and it was a pretty good chord based song.

Thats all i can think of right now.
the past recedes - john frusciante, lots of hendrix songs. wonderwall is also cool. also, under the bridge is mostly broken up chords.

EDIT: i just properly read your post, don't worry about these songs, but they are fun to learn.

a really easy song to play that has mainly chords is BRAIN STEW by greenday

its like four chords throughout the entire song.

the only thing you will need to work on is the distortion.
