Hi there.

Looking for some help on tube amp wattages. Seen an amp I'm after but don't have the oppertunity to try it out - it's an old 60's tube amp rated at 6 watt with a single 10 inch speaker...

How loud is this going to be? I don't believe it would be loud enough to gig by itself but would it be ok mic'd up??????????????

Thanks

Rich

I have 6 watt amp with an 8" speaker. Maybe if the drummer isn't going nuts you can play small venues with it. Otherwise, mic it. It's very nice for bedroom practice, with overdrive at acceptable levels.

true, but it's not the same as playing through a stack, you don't "feel" it the same

and oh no, I own the worlds nicest epiphone les paul.

I'll even challenge you to share pics!
