I'm always making up stuff I can't play. Trouble is when I'm writing something I'm usually fiddling around with form and harmony and I work out the detail of guitar parts "later". When the guitar part of the song is nearly complete, I've still not got it under my fingers at speed - in fact it usally turns out that I've got to practice the damn thing in a quasi-performing mode for a couple of weeks before I'm confindent enought to take it out or record it. It can be mightily frustrating. You could reasonably ask why don't I just change it for something easier; unfortunately it's all part of a piece by that time and "belongs", so I'm kinda stuck with it. I still feel kinda dumb, though.

Instead of using Valves, could I use Light Bulbs instead? If so, would the new energy saving ones be OK? Coz I do a lot of playing

I got my pick stuck inside my guitar . . . . how am I supposed to get it out?

I'm learning the prelude from Bach's lute suite number two, but I can only do the first eight bars and it's solid for me.
