Well, if you're ready for it definitely "The Jazz Theory Book" by Mark Levine. That's my favorite that's directly related to just theory but into specific things like Chords look at "Chord Chemistry" by Ted Greene.

I myself am looking for a theory book that has all modes, scales, chords, arpeggios, etc. that are in the same key on a page. That would be very very useful.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say with the Jazz Theory Book you need to know notation. If you don't I can't think of any theory book in tab.
