I recently purchased a Digitech BP80 Bass Modeling Processor. Its my first effects pedal and I really havent figured it all out yet. One of the songs i want to get the sound close to is Dynomite by Ima Robot. If anyone has any advice, it'd be quite helpful.

I'm a huge fan of Ima Robot. I don't believe he's using any sort of effects, it's just his EQ, and his technique. Try using a pick, sliding, and setting your eq so that the mids are higher than the bass and treble.

EDIT: After watching the david letterman preformance video, I do see that he does indeed use some sort of effect on the sliding/solo parts. But I believe it might just be a light chorus/reverb pedal. Either that or it's an eq pedal for a slightly different tone. Either way it doesn't change much.

BP80 FTW

honestly, if you can find out what he uses, the 80 can replicate using the amp moldeling thinger.

thanks for the advice, but I've tried everything and haven't gotten very far. I've only been playing for a few months now and Im very astute with EQ tweaking and what not.
