Hey. I just have a quick question about wah pedals. I currently own a Ibanez AW7 Autowah, and I am fairly dissapointed with it. I am looking into purchasing another wah pedal (NOT an autowah), and my head seriously hurts from trying to decide which pedal I should go with. Here are the ones that I am currently looking at...

Crybaby Classic w/ fasel inductor
Crybaby 535 Q
Crybaby Original
Vox V847
Ibanez weeping demon
Snarling dogs blues bawls wah

Any suggestions? Any other Wahs that aren't on my list I should look into? I understand that there is a large price range between all of these, just wondering if there is a Wah in particular that stands out to you (right now I am leaning towards the Crybaby Classic). Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

What's your budget?

I'd probably go for Digitech Whammy, Ibanez Weeping Demon or the Vox.

depends man, crybabys are better for metal while vox's are better for blues/ rock.

voxs sound kinda hollow while hollow.

as for crybabys, i recon the 535Q

The most I'd be willing to pay would be around $150.

Really? I've heard some mixed reviews about the weeping demon...

I really appreciate the input so far, thanks!

Crybaby Classic w/ fasel inductor---Don't know, but it's not the classic wah circuit and it's basically unmodable due to the use of SMT components. I wouldn't buy one.
Crybaby 535 Q---Imo, crap. I just don't like this one.
Crybaby Original---Crap too, but it's VERY tweakable and with some time and a soldering iron you can tweak it into a monster.
Vox V847---IMO, the best of the non boutique wahs.
Ibanez weeping demon---Absolute shit. Really plain and non gutsy sound. Thin. Crap.
Snarling dogs blues bawls wah---Never tried.

You may want to try the Budda Budwah, it's exactly 150 IIRC.

Any schematics of tweakin a Crybaby ?
Tone is all ...... well probably 75%, in your fingers.
The rest depends on your wallet's thickness !!

Keep the faith, baby!!

So pink, between the Crybaby Classic and the Vox V847 you'd go with the vox? I don't think i'll ever get my pedal modded...BTW, i've seen the thread were you're selling your pedals...very cool!

IMO, the increase in price when it comes to the Clyde isn't worth it. The V847 is a good pedal. The Clyde has a 9v adapter, that's the main difference. You can add a 9v adapter to a V847 in like 15 minutes for a dollar.

Drill a hole for the jack, screw it in. Wire it into position.
