I'm thinking to get a microcube, but the lack of an eq made me wanna buy a cheap eq pedal too (Danelectro fish & ships). I'm wondering if that would be a good idea to compensate that issue, cause i read that modelling amps doesn't go well with pedals. Thanks in advance.

Cause all i need is a bedroom amp, is pretty cheap, hear only good things about it and even John Petrucci use it to warm-up.

Because if your going for a cheap 5-10 watt bedroom amp, you don't get much better tone or quality then a cube.

Thank god hes not getting an MG15.

The Microcube isn't very responsive to the input signal. It kind of tries to make the tone as dead and normal sounding as possible, so it can then apply effects.

You won't get much out of the pedal.

And what about for recording?
something like that: guitar -> microcube -> eq pedal -> line in computer.

Because it's the perfect, portable, bedroom amp.
