ok please check out the examples below(zip file). there seperated by a bar of silence.

ex:1 C diminished, ugly chord, rather unstable(fortunatly the other notes stabelize it)

ex:2 regular B major chord and a C dim. notice that the B doesn't resolve to C dim. very well

ex:3 chord change. notice the Em/B resovles(well i think it does at least) to Cdim. to D7 to C7 to B.

point is, is the Em/B chord resolving to diminished? why is this so? can any one explain cause i thought chords don't resolve to diminished, diminished resolves to other chords.
am i and idiot? Discuss.

I keep wanting to do the blues turn around of F# (B,C,Db) when I hear the B (or Em/B) and then C. So, no, I don't feel any resolution there. I want to go to the Db.

so from Em/B you want to go to Db? or from Cdim. to Db? because i'm talking about how

Em/B slightly resolves to the diminished.

wait i've figured out why it resolves
(does resolve)

here:

Cdim: C F# A D#

B7: B F# A D#

it wants to resolve to the second inversion of B7 which are the notes F# A D#. Cdim will still work since it contains those notes and in my opinion sounds better than B as the root
