If it has a dedicated speaker out jack plug the cab into there, if not then the combo will have to be modified.
#3
Yes. Only if the combo has an external speaker jack and you match the ohms of the combo with the cabinet

sorry i posted the wrong answer....

anyway remove the two wires from the combo's speaker.

take those two wires and solder them to a 1/4" plug. run a speaker cable from that, to the cab.

match the combo's and the cabs ohms.

Since this is on topic, I was just wondering, is it possible to make it so you can have a jack that turns the speaker off when you plug into your combo like that? If so that would be cool too.

no when u take the wires off the combo speaker. the speaker in the combo does not work.

u cant wire to both the speaker in the combo AND another speaker without adjusting for ohms.

and yes im sure u can instal a switch. to go back and forth. but i find it easy enough to use the clip wire connections.

nope. depends on the amp, but most of the time, when u use an external speaker jack, the combo speaker shuts off.

Your ohms will depends on what your amp puts out, have a look on the speaker in the combo now it should be written on it how many ohms it is, you must match that when you add the cab.

youre not planning on modding that shitty squire amp are you...

and there is already a straight edge club that was formed before you even joined UG! therefore you cannot be the founder.

Ok. If I hooked my JSX combo up to an external 2x12 cab, the speakers within the combo would not work?
