Sorry this has probably been done before, buy anyway, when you intonate your guitar do you adjust the saddles with the strings on, or do u take them off? and which way for sharp and which way for flat?

Flat = move towards the neck
Sharp = away from the neck

Strings on, if its sharp, loosen the string a fair bit so that the tension wouldnt be too much when you're moving it away from the neck

If the intonation screw is unaccessable with the strings on, then slacken them enough to a point where you can access it
