i know nothing of hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
but my band is currently exploring lots of jazz and blues stuff.

so, i figure my next guitar will be something more suited to that (not that Jacksons can't play jazz )

but, it needs to meet a few requirements.

it must be comfortable.
and it must be availible left handed.
must be availibe for under 1000 CAD

i've only looked at the Epiphone, what else is there? what is good?

i need info here!

Schecter Corsair. It's my next guitar, I've tried the Dot, 355, Artcore, even the smaller names such as sammick and have not seen a guitar as finely made or worth the money as much as the corsair.

Epiphone Sheraton/Riviera/Casino are my favourite semis.

Check out the Ibanez Artcores too.
The Laney Thread are big and clever. No exceptions.

How much is 1000CAD in USD ($)?

Also, do you have a preference for new or used?
In addition to the ones mentioned above, Peavey makes 335 clone called the JF-1 EXP. I saw it in my Sweetwater catalog. I've never played one, and I don't know that they are available left-handed.

I'd say an Epiphone.

If not, check out a Gibson ES 335 or even a lucielle ball (or however you spell BB King's guitar)

I'm pretty sure the casino is fully hollow, plus it has single coils so it's pretty much a clean low gain based guitar. I say the epi dot no question, left handed and good for the money. The elitist version is worth the extra money.
