Ok check it out, I don't why I was thinknig about this, but try it out. We have tons of garbage just sitting around taking up space and ruining our beautiful earth. What if there was a way to shuttle out massive amount of garbage and trash in a space vehicle that would drop the garbage right outside the earth's atmosphere. Then by the gravitational pull from the earth the garbage would go back toward earth and by it going through the atmosphere it will burn into nothing, basically, before it hits earth. I mean even though it would cost more for the energy to get the shuttle up into space to drop off that garbage I thought it was a great idea to toy around with.

What do you think?

so, even though it would cost less to just burn it in an incinerator, this is a great idea ...

I had to make a new account since i forgot my password becasue i havent been on here for awhile.

OK then what about just letting garbage float into space?

that was in Futurama right?

yeah it is, plus, the whole world would be cursed with the smell of burning rubbish

nice one

i really think there would be less expennsive ways on earth that would be only slightly worse for the environment

there were people talking about sending rubbish into space rather than landfill sites, to just kinda...drift around, but they decided against it, i think. i can't remember why, but i assume for the same reason your idea would probably be rejected too.

Ah so you have multiple accounts... I think you're the first item that'll be sent floating into space. Huggin' the satellites.
Dear God, do you actually answer prayers?

Yes, but only in a way indistinguishable from random luck or the result of your own efforts.

whats the deal with multiple accounts, if you dont remember your old password you just make a new account
no big deal, goddamn
#20
Threadstarter, are you retarded?
Do you know how bad it is for the atmosphere for all that shit to burn up? And do you know how much it would cost to send all our garbage out? Here's a hint: A lot.

I say we get working on a super shrink ray that can make the garbage microscopic. Now there's a neat idea.

It would still release methane, CO2, and other stuff into the atmosphere though, and higher up, so that wouldn't work too well.

Exactly. Threadstarter, please do us all a favor and do some more research before you post.

2) You're wasting server space.

i agree...or we could just dump it off on those Venus bastards
#26
lol yeah, convince NASA to do it. see how much they laugh at you.

(hint: a lot)

you yourself admit that it would take more energy to get it up there than what we would be getting rid of... where's the payoff?

I say, we make a BIG catapult, and catapult it ALL into the SUN!!!!
On second thought... your a ****tard and should be slapped for having your n.e.a.t.i.d.e.a. its not that neat, its completely hypocritical, "lets WASTE more energy than what we think we're going to SAVE! Its FUCKING AMAZING "
#28
I remember hearing something about using a railgun to do this. Railguns are awesome.

Landfill sites turn into golf courses though. Nothing wrong with just burying it all and making more golf courses!

Why don't we just throw our garbage in space and leave it there? Isn't space like... really big?? I'm sure a couple of Coke bottles will fit =/

that's a shit idea. here's mine:

garbage as fuel. YES you heard me. What if engineers and chemists figured out a way to convert garbage into energy? Think about it, it would be one of the best inventions ever and would save us from certain global warming doom.

here's how it works: all vehicles start being built with a garbage to fuel converter. This fuel will not pollute the air and there can be a filter to block all the bad stuff like germs and smell. this will be TRUE recycling. There will be no leftovers mounting up and taking up space or anything. All garbage becomes useful and are eliminated. let's just say you've finished eating a banana. just throw the banana peel into your car and voila! extra mileage.

who's with me!!

^ Wouldn't there be burning of something involved, and that's bad for the environment too?

it doesn't have to be burning. maybe scientists can figure out another way to break down and convert the garbage.

I suppose a canon that could fire mounds of rubbish into space and surpass the Earth's gravitational pull would be decent, 'cause then the rubbish can just float around in space's infinity.

Why don't we just invent a time machine, then send the garbage to like, 5 minutes after the apocolypse?
