I recently got lent Souvlaki by Slowdive which I like very much, and I'm also a Sigur Ros nut who are shoegazey in places. Can anyone reccommend me any similar stuff? As a poor student with an HMV gift card worth £10 I can afford 2 CDs.

I'd recommend the "Treasure" album by Cocteau Twins. They were a huge influence on Sigur Ros, and are really good.

Loveless is definately a must. I'd also say Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy.

Thanks for the recommendations, guys. I'll go and buy those My Bloody Valentine and Jesus And Mary Chain records next time I'm in town.

I actually just bought Psychocandy about a week or so ago. Great, great, great...
