pinch harmonics, lots of practice, no one is ever as good as they can be at guitar so always practice, zakk wylde, scales
#4
going over simple scales up and down the fret board, working slow, try and build up some speed, stop if your amrs and wrists ache, play some songs, then work at it some more. Its what i do

if he does not post pics, he obviously has installed a pickup and bridge on his house broom for some brutal sweep picking.

Practice new songs on an acoutic first. If you can play them on an acoustic they will be piss easy when you plug in your electric
Dave Mustain has wrote some of the most amazing solos...
That he can't actually play!

Grow long hair, put your foot up on a monitor and spin your hair around in circles. Windmill headbanging. Thats all you need to know.

Tune your 8 string baritone lower than Ab, grow hair passed your ass, play 40nps, 8 string sweeps, and growl so low, and extremely brutal, that no one can hear you.

Metal clichés that are so overused they can never die:

- Shredding
- Fast punk-inspired powerchords
- Gallops
- Tremolobar abuse
- Cromatics
- Riffs (no shiat?)
- Harmonics and many pf them!

Put all these together and you have a perfectly decent metal tune!
