How do I take out my tuners? I'm going to have someone paint my headstock I looked over at ProjectGuitar.com but they didn't have anything about it. I would appreciate any info

... take off the strings, grab some pliers and take off the nut on top, then pull them out the hole

are there screws on the bottom of the headstock? Try unscrewing those or do what that other guy above said.

I have removed the tuning machine but now the chrome rings are still stuck the holes. I don't want to force them out and risk damaging something. How do I remove them? Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Use a pencil or wooden dowel to gently tap them out.

You might need a tad bit of force to get them out.

I know I sure did.
