starting amp, hmm, try a fender, theres one thats got the digital stuff goin on where it can put bass and drum lines to what you play or whatever, that may be cool if your just starting...i think its round 350ish or so... look through the reviews thing on this site, they did one on it not to long ago

haha about the genre thing, i listen to a lot of music, and i just want to play...punk rock, thrash, metal... all of it haha... doesnt matter...

well if your into that type of thing you probably want something like a randall rx15 or a vox pathfinder... both of those are as cheap as you would want to go.
