If UG had rep I'd give it to you.

The band who originally recorded it is probably a good bet. Or the label it was originally released under if you can't get ahold of the band.
Jackson DKMG & KE3, Fender Mexican Strat, Stagg Acoustic

Boss Compressor & Chorus, Dunlop Crybaby, Behringer Delay, ISP Decimator, Ibanez Tubescreamer

Laney TT50H, Marshall 1960A, Roland Cube 15

Looking to jam in Belfast, PM me!

Yeah it'll be really hard to just get their phone numbers of their site.

Email the website of the band and tell them about it.

I don't know? Go to their site and see, or if they have a myspace that might work for you (unless it's a big and famous band)

you dont need permission for live performance, theres a fee that venues pay monthly that cover royalties for that sort of thing. Especially if the venue also uses DJs on some nights. For albums the company that presses the records will add the fee to the pressing costs, you dont need permission to do covers, only to use samples.

Even if you don't legally need a permission to do it, it's still a good idea to contact them - if you piss them off or whatever there are plenty of ways they could hurt you.

there really isnt much they can do as long as they are getting royalties. And also you wouldnt contact the band directly, for something like that they would need to be contacted through either thier label or their management company.
