hi. if i bought a cabinet for a combo amp, would it make the amp louder than the actual wattage? also, what are the advantages of using a cabinet? thanks in advance.

i suppose it would gain a little volume, (very little mind you) but the output level wouldnt change.
advantages to usin a cab are projection of sound.
and they look alot cooler then some pussy ass combo.

Just get a generally better amp instead of small combo and cab.

The cab will spread the sound more and make it sound more full, but it won't drastically raise the volume.
You should get a cab for it if you're seriously gigging and love that amp, but that's not the case here.

There's lots, depends on how much you're willing to spend.
There's LC30s, VC30s, Peavey Classics, Fender Hot Rods, Vox AC30s etc, theres loads.

So how much were you willing to buy a cab for? £50? Not much chance of that.

Maybe save up more.

Don't decide straight away what you're getting, try looooads out first, decide which one out of a big selection you want, and try amps more expensive too to determine if you want to save more to get what you want.
