A-****ing-mazing man. Any reason why the frets are at an angle? Just a custom touch?

fanned frets.. very useful when making an extended range guitar or bass, especially bass. it gives each string its own scale length.

beautiful top too. i think this wins in the fight agaisnt Callum Barrow for my favourite custum build on UG.

Am I right? Yes? Looks like his. Well, I'd like to hear some recordings of you playing that thing...some videos too, but whatever works.

Finish? Color?

Hey guys! I just started playing electric guitar should I get a Gabson Lay Pall or a Femdor Startokaster. I like the picks on the gabsons but i like how sweet femdors look. Beforre i get a gabson what company makes them?

Wow man, that is really impressive, cant wait to hear some of the crazy grooves that that beast will be pumping. Takes a true master to engineer something that complex!

For the cost of a Mesa Roadking, I could alternatively purchase Belgium.

so... you didn't build it?

meh, it's still one of the coolest things i ever saw. i saw a classical guitarist with fanned frets on his 8-string. he also had a box that amplifies his guitar (he played cello style)

I take it chrisb0109 never built you that fanned-fret guitar from years ago?
#35
whatever you call those pots with two controls stacked...well there's going to be two of them. volume and tone for the guitar and volume and tone for the bass with a 3 way selector switch.

I left room for any other tweaking I want to do, but the idea is to keep the electronics simple and if it doesn't work I can change it on my own.

and chrisb never did, plans fell through

It's pretty hard to find someone as hardcore as Tom. The race for hardcore supremacy would be pretty close but i think Tom's got his nose just in front for now...
