i heard bad things about dunlops fuzz. so i was looking for any other suggestions. i really like the sound of a fuzz. any good companies make them? what do you suggest and why

Yeh thats good (sound samples on their site), pretty pricy though or a Dunlop Fuzzface (I think thats what theyre called) is also good.

I found it good at first in the shop, but there was something not so right about it, I loved the heaps of gain and feedback at first, but it wasn't too toneful.

My Big Muff is like that, it sounded so awesome for a month or so and now it sounds pretty crap (ive changed batteries etc), I never use it now.
