I've decided that if I get a half stack or full stack, I won't have to bother with hunting after a cab that doesn't suit the head.

And don't say the GK one because it costs more or is a full stack. Again, tone is more important to me :X

AND WHY.

Seriously, I played in a band for a while as a bass player, and I had a half stack. An Ampeg head and avatar 4x10 cab. Honestly, I never got enough sound out of it..ever. Go with the full stack. As a personal preference, I like the sound of two 4x10 cabs. But, seriously, go for the full stack. I am sure it will be better no matter what combo of cabs you have.

go for the full stack. The only reason i say the full stack is because it has alittle bigger speakers, which by there very nature will be able to produce better low-end for you, which will really bring your tone alive. A 4x10 is, in my opinion, is a guitar cab, always has been and always will be.

GK are extremely well regarded around here. I understand the appeal of Ampeg, but I find their tone is too "Ampeg" and not enough "you". I just like how well you can mould a GK rig into your own style.

And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me: no, nor woman neither... nor women neither.

question 1 - Do you NEED a full stack.

Most of the time a halfstack can be just as loud as a fullstack. And easier to transport. Look at the head unit you will be using. If the wattage is the same, go with the half stack. A full stack is really unnessicary.

Aren't you the guy who didn't know what a tortoise shell pickguard was? Are you sure you need either the half or full stack?

it depends on the level of the head

like say an ampeg SVT vs a GK backline

ampeg is much better because that GK is too GK no room for molding

however in this case its an RB which is much better

however i would ask yourself if you even need a stack of any kind

^ Does it matter? All that matters is he's gone. No more absolutely pointless threads no more sigging himself. ahhhh the Universe is good again. All we can hope for is he was IP banned and won't get back.
#22
But, is not the american legal system (and Canadian) based on the fact that men can change?! Should he only be banned for a few weeks or months, has he not payed his debt to society! Should he not be given a second chance! Jazzy, if you were banned for something, would you not want a second chance? Darn you Chuck Norris.

^ Yes I apologize but still you have to admit... he wasn't a contributing member to the bass forum. But still I was harsh and for that I apologize. (Although he'll never be around to hear it. MUHAHAHAHAHA )

A second chance? HA no if I did anything stupid enough to be banned I wouldn't ever come back I mean if you go to the trouble of linking to porn or spamming it would be because I really didn't want to ever come back here again. But all jokes aside I guess your right I would want a second chance but just like the American and Canadian justice system if you're well liked (like me ) you get a second chance if you're not well liked (like musico ) it's BZZZZZTTTT electric chair for you (I wish, pussy canadians removed the friggin death penalty)

Ahhhhh contributing to the bass forum it's a wonderful thing. It brings a virtual tear to my virtual eye. Speaking of which I should probably do some more of it. Bye I'm off to make useful posts in threads that promote conversation. AWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Well no, just jazz_rock_feel and FbSa

I'm sure plenty others feel the same way about this site. This site's like the YMCA, it either keeps you away from drugs, or leads you right to them.
