I've heard it's extremely versatile. Who cares about Amp EQ? IT sucks bigtime compared to an EQ pedal.
A recent study shows that 8% of teenagers listen to nothing but music with guitars in it. Put this in your sig if you're one of the 92% who isn't a closed-minded moron.

Will it do metal if I boost it with a Tubescreamer??

Sorry for highjacking, but I think the TS might be interested in this aswell:

Suggestions for other small tube amps (30W or less) that does heavier metal/metalcore etc (with or without boost)?

I played one today, VERY good amp.

Good cleans to great classic sounding gain, and sounded great with a wah too.

Ok, a tubescreamer wont do it... How about a DS-1?? Would a DS-1 boost the Tiny Terror enough for power/heavy metal?? I think it should. :P

The DS1 isn't an overdrive, maybe the SD1 would, try it out though.

It got quite heavy with the Strat I was playing, and it wasn't maxed out.

Have you tried one yet?

It can do 70's classic metal easily, but modern? Not really, it's not a modern sounding amp.

I know the DS-1 isnt a overdrive... Dosent matter, u can still use it to boost.
(I mean, If you couldnt, why whould Vai use it as a booster??)
No, i havent tried one yet :S

Alright. It's far to classic in tone to do modern metal. It's not the gain that's the biggest issue, it's the fact that the amp id made to sound like a vintage amp and it won't sound modern. And if you use a DS1 for gain on a tube amp you might aswell get an SS unless your using as a boost (which it won't magically turning a vintage style amp into a modern metal monster).

The line is:
No it's not the amp for you.
