Hello people!

I just discovered this board during research and I hope that you can provide me with a little bit of information about a guitar that I have just purchased.

The guitar in question is an Ibanez Telecaster copy (model no. 2352) made in Japan from 1971-73. The guitar is not in mint condition as it has some scratches, but is is still playable and fairly good looking. Pictures will be up as soon as possible.

What I would like to know is the value of this guitar. I only know the things about the guitar that I have found tonight by researching on the Internet, and it is very hard to find any information about this model.

Any other information will be appreciated as well.

Finally, I am Danish so my English might not be completely correct.

It might not be, but it is

your best bet is to ask around on the specialist ibanez sites...

http://www.ibanezregister.com/
http://www.jemsite.com

there should be somebody on those sites who knows their stuff.

I've found pics of 2 Ibanez telecasters - if you email the owners they may be able to help you out.

Ibanez register is pretty comprehensive....which hopefully means you've got something really rare there, it's also possible that it's not particularly special I suppose, but that's part of the excitement.

Post back if you find out anymore...i'm intrigued myself now

I will do that, now I'm just hoping that the guy at Ibanezregister.com will answer me pretty soon.

It might be that my model isn't anything special, but I have found it at a couple of Ibanez museum websites and at another vintage Ibanez website. I'm pretty surprised that I can't find it at Ibanez register.

I actually have that guitar. Initially I was gonna sell it but I became attached to it so to speak. If you were to sell it on ebay you probably wouldn't break $1000 usd so I would go private if you plan to sell it. Assuming you have the solid body version the guitar is a mahogany body with a maple and a 3 piece maple neck. If you want to know more about the guitar leave me a pm or post again. Glad to help if I did any.

Edit: Here are some pictures of my guitar.

Edit 2.0: This guitar is from the lawsuit era by the way.

OrisisProtocol > Yeah, thanks for the reply. From your photos I can see that your guitar is a 2352 custom, which is a few years newer than my guitar (http://frip.dk/sauerdk/2352.jpg ), and most vintage Ibanez sites have lots of information about the custom model you own but very little information on my model.

In fact, my guitar is pre lawsuit and cannot be made later than 1973 (due to the logo and the "Made in Japan" inscriptrion). Whether this makes this guitar worth more, I don't know - it might aswell be worth less money.

If you have any information on my model please write.
