no not really, u can go tube with in the 700 dollar price range, u have the ashdown half stack for metal, or the peavey XXX 5150 or others
blues classic rock could be the fender deville 410 or 212 or the peavey classic 50

u can try to look for any of these or any others used u will probably save a lot of money
