What kind of music, juilliard is known for classical of course, Berkley is known for like... everything else...
#4
Chico state has a sweet music industry and recording arts program if ur into that. USC and Sonoma State have good jazz performance program.

Im pretty sure its spelled Berklee but anyway thats beside the point. I would say most community colleges should offer some audio production classes. Art Institute is supposed to have a really good audio production class but that along w/ Burklee is very expensive.

Juilliard's known for GARBAGE.

Go to Juilliard for anything but the best training with your instrument. Especially classical guitar.
My God, it's full of stars!

and by the way, i want to learn classical but I want to focus on jazz. I would also like to be able to learn rock or any other "popular" types of music. I have been seriously considering Berkley but I wanted to know what else everybody thought.

Its not very presegious. I have a 3.8 right now so if i WANTED to go there i probably could but its way overpriced. I would rather just take the course in community college. Audio production isnt really a course that they judge off of youre school grades. Theyre not gonna deny you use on a soundboard because u got a C in math. My uncle has a home studio and ive messed around on it. Really the only math required is remembering your settings and making sure you got the right adapters plugged into your gear
EDIT: Theres also an audio production school in Florida i hear is good. Its called Full Sail i believe.

No Canadian Mennonite University . Actually they have a half decent music program and some good facilities, but if you are going to travel there are better places to go to school.

When I told him he would get in fine, I was referring to him spelling it "Burklee", thus me being Sarcastic. He then proceeded to be Serious.
