our band director in the school band is finally letting me put down the saxophone and play my guitar...but its blues...im not very familiar with blues music...i have an open solo(where i make it up on my own)....can anyone tell me some good blues guitarist so i can familiarize myself with blues solos??...thx in advance

just practice improvisizing over a minor pentatonic(blues) scale
i find it easier to do good improv with a backing track so get yourself some of those

some guitarists are Eric Clapton, BB King, SRV, Jeff Beck, (dont flame me) but John Mayers stuff of his new album i like it alot
