i have been trying to do vocals on some of my songs and when i record on my mic it sounds bad when i sang for my friends they said i was pretty good but when i recorded it , then played it back it didnt sound good . so anyways my ? is could a mic make my singing sound bad or do i just suck . the mic i got is like a $20 mic from bestbuy

Well I don't know much, but you're mic probably won't be very good so I'd get a better one of those, and often singers have a bit of reverb on their voice [although that wouldn't make a bad singer sound good].
