okay, so what scale length would i need if want to put a guitar in C standard tuning (tune every string down 2 full steps)

i want it to have more a gibson like feel than a fender.

what length do i need?

12 guage strings would work for now.

Most baritones are anywhere from 27 inches to 28 and 1/2 inches in scale length.
Gibson makes a baritone guitar that you might want to look into.

Most guitars with a decent set of strings (12's or a hybrid heavy gauge) should be able to handle a tuning that low, providing you have the adequate truss rod and action adjustments.

i would tune that low. but the reason for a baritone is so i have another guitar to play heavier stuff. i need to switch back forth alot. and i cant, i only have one guitar. with a floyd on it. so thats a no go

You don't NEED a baritone to tune to C, most baritones are designed to tune to B or lower.

Just go buy another regular guitar.

just deal with the lack of upper frets and use a capos.

20 frets is not too few.
