Hit this once or twice, and you'll be twice as nice.

That would depend on if your Australian or not. A lot of the bands in the hottest 100 are going to be from Australia because it is voted for people Australians and it is on the national FM radio station (which obviously plays a lot of Aussie music). That said, there are some good bands from here at the moment.

what's up with this AFI appearing twice on this list? to me they seem like the next Green Day, if i was a 12 year old bitch i'd em!

They're alot better than Green Day. Their lyrics aren't 11 year old quality, and their music is very melodic (Not their earlier crap, but Black Sails, Art Of Drowning, Sing The Sorrow, Decemberunderground). I say give Sing The Sorrow a listen. Very different stuff. The only downfall is, they attract alot of pop-punkies and emo kids because of the way they dress etc. The last sentence is the only similarity to Green Day.
I'm back, you douchebags.

the past lists are better

'cause its '90s music

hey now i've heard some of that album, singles and other random songs and some of they're other stuff, this stupid girl i knew used to love them. and i don't like them. They're ripping off Bauhaus and David Bowie while trying to sound like the clash to me. And to me they're not even doing it tastfully. It's one thing when you rip off a band tastfully and another when you ripoff a band without taste. Let's put it this way. They're a "punk band" with a long span of albums and came from california, remind you of any other so called "punk" band? and i say they're 12 year old stuff cause when i was 12 the girl who was obessed with them was too!

I don't think I've ever heard anyone in that band refer to AFI as punk, and he said "12 year old lyrics", not "12 year old fans"

Theres a difference between ripping off, and being influenced by.
You can say Steve Vai ripped off Hendrix with the beggining of Tender Surrender. (Love Vai though) (Same EXACT intro chords)
They were influenced by Bauhaus and Bowie, there are no exact, or anything near exact copies of Bauhaus or Bowies songs. You hear elements of Bauhaus and Bowie, because thats who they grew up listening to. According to your logic, The Cure is ripping off the Beatles because they build chord progressions similarly.

Oh, and another irrellevent point you made. Who cares where they came from? What difference does it make? You're saying they can't make music because they came for the same place? Idiot.
And just because a 12 girl is obsessed with them doesnt mean they are a 12 year old's band. I can say Hendrix is a 13 year old's band, because I know a 13 year old likes Hendrix. It doesn't make sense, you waste of skin.
And the worst statement I've ever heard any one say,
"They're a "punk band" with a long span of albums and came from california, remind you of any other so called "punk" band?"

You're saying they can't have alot of albums, because Green Day had alot of albums?
People like should should have been fed to Killer Whales as a fetus.
