Despite common belief, there isn't a single note in the Crossroads Guitar Duel that is sweep picked. It's ENTIRELY alternate picking.

Sweep picking it makes it easier but it is incorrect - it makes the song sound wrong and that isn't how Vai played it.

Where are the mythbusters when you need them?

Shredding is having control over your instrument and being free of technical obstacles so your music is not limited by your playing ability.

Ack-tully, when you think about it, if it's alternate picked, half the notes would be picked in the same direction. So it is half-sweeped.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.
