Im not bothered about price here guys....but what do you think is THE BEST out there? Im lookin for versatility...great tone...great effects...innovation...etc.

The BOSS GT-8?
The PODxt Live?
The VOX Tonelab SE?
The Zoom G9.2tt?

I am assuming it is one of the above...because I can't decide between the 4...

Girl (Ned/chav) annoying me on the bus.

Me "Have you ever bled out your arse-hole?"

Her: Facial expression was priceless - "What??! Noo!"

Me: "Well if you want to keep it that way, **** off."

She then turned away and whimpered.

Gotta love it when someone is completely not worried about the price of something... "Eh screw it, I can throw money around!".
mmmk.

Zoom GFX 8, but since that's discontinued, and not the most versatile, probably the XT live. The GT8's cool dual amp thing is pretty tight though.

If you don't want to spend a damn fortune: Zoom GFX-5. The best distortion sound out of any pedal I've heard. Still doesn't beat natural distortion from a good head though...

TC Electronics G major is very good as well.
It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Yep.... TC Electronics G-Force....... or G-System
Tone is all ...... well probably 75%, in your fingers.
The rest depends on your wallet's thickness !!

Keep the faith, baby!!

If price is no worry, the G-force

i was under the impression that the pod was solely amp modeling. eh?

Nope, it has modeling and effects. I think the best two are the GT-8 and PODxtLive. I've owned both and stuck with the XTL but both are good if you're willing to put in the time to learn to program them well. And obviously if you're going to be using it with a band you need the right amp to go with it.

This site is very helpful regrading multiFX:

It also has a good head-to-head comparison:

PRS Dave Navarro signature/Burny RLC-70 - Sonuus Wahoo wah/filter - Vox ToneLabLE - Boss DD-5 - Zoom MS-50G - Modded Ampeg VT-22 100-watt tube head or Peavey VK100 100-watt tube head (6L6GC's in both) - Soldano 4X12 cab w/Eminence Legends.

ive researched this a lot.

if you want the quality of the effects, then the boss ones are slightly better (still harsh and cold)

if ya wanting the amp models e.g. for recording and putting through PA, then the XTLive is best all round, the vox and digitech ones are quite good still, just pricey
