Good guitar! Just watch what model you choose, one comes with SD's and others come with EMG's. As a general rule of thumb, EMG's = metal, SD's = versatile! I've played one a few times, it was a nice play. Very enjoyable

(the one you gave was archtop, comes with SD's... similar guitars I think?)

As for amp, what kinda of music do you play and do you gig?

ok, the 400 series is the sex BUT wait! the new 500 series is coming out at the same price! so reckon you wait! or just get that! Basically the same just different fretboards and some wiring. nothing to big! But yeah very nice guitars!
I think you should play it tho! Just to see is that the feal your looking for!

As for the amp stay away from crate! Peavey are alright, the Bandit is pretty good for what you pay!

I'm trying to play a lot of different things, but I don't gig. Not to say I'm not gonna eventually, but for now it's just a hobby.

I like the black with SD pickups.

If I'm not mistaken, one of the guitarists from Leaves' Eyes played one at the Blind Guardian show.

And yes, it was an LTD, not an ESP and it looked exactly like that.

Thanks man. I used to have the emg's in em (81's/60's). They were awesome metal pups, but I'm not that kind of guy. Tried em' out, good, but not me...so i switched em for bkp mules.

Great looking guitars Guys. How do they compare to other LPs. Like Gibson, Epiphone, and Agile???

Thanks!

Honestly, as I see it...

High end gibsons > Ltd ec series (duh, they're 2x the price)
High end gibsons > epiphone and agiles

Pretty much self explanatory, gibson is tehz pwnzorx. But in comparison, the ec series aren't that bad for the price...actually, they're probably one of the better ones in the price range imo; specs are tight.

ltd ec series < high end gibsons
ltd series (over 400) < low end gibsons, epiphones, agile

That's how I see it.

Edit: I almost forgot, remember to try them out yourself. There can always be a lemon in the bunch and I could have picked a lemon out of the epiphones i have played.
