"When" or "The Grand Conjuration" -Opeth

They have so much energy to start, and it's just balls to the wall.

Personally, I'd start with "Viva La Revolution" by The Adicts or "Blitzkreig Bop" by The Ramones, cuz I think they'd really get the crowd into it.

Blackened by Metallica

or

The Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin
Blackened is a great opener. As for Immigrant song as an opener, I'd much rather have Rock and Roll-->Celebration Day (The Song Remains The Same style ). Better yet, Rock and Roll-->Sick Again, like Zep did in '75. that'd be great.

That being said, my vote goes to Toys in the Attic- Aerosmith. No matter how many times they've opened with it in the past, it is still the best.
How to achieve Frank Zappa's guitar tone:

Step 1: Buy a Gibson SG
Step 2: Insert Green Ringer, EQ, 3 dead squirrels and a microwave into said SG
Step 3: Plug in and freak the **** out.

The Casualties - Casualties Army/On the Frontline
The Casualties - Riot

Those are the best start songs I saw live. Saw the band twice and those two songs just gets you pumped up in a circle pit.

Mellon Collie and The Infinate Sadness

B0lly better play that at the reuion concert.

Toys is a great opener BD, I agree. Nowadays though I've heard they play it as an encore, same as when I them in '76 at the Montreal Forum.
