hi.
i new here and i was just looking for some advice on taking my knobs off my pickguard so i can take off the plastic cover on my strat (just realised there was a cover on it ). anyway, i need some ways i can take off my knobs safely myself and avoid destroying them as i do.

The best way to do it is to take the very edge of a t-shirt or other cloth, slide it up underneath the knobs, wrap it around, twist it to hold it in place, and pull upwards. Works every time.

Get a screwdriver and ply it off.

And get some old rags or something and make sure you don't scratch your pickguard.
