I need an amp (probaly a keyboard) for vocals. It needs to be LOUD. I plunged in a mic into a Epipohne practice amp for guitar and couldn't hear it over the drums. So any help?

I know this is a guitar forum but where else should I ask?

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

Uh...cheap! Seriously though, $300 at most if it was absolutely perfect.
So, a PA would work better?

oh yeah, for $300, u can get a boat load of different systems.

low end side, i like the yamaha systems. let me see what u can get...

new, u can get a sound tech or kustom.

but if u look on ebay u can probably pick up a yamaha or a dawn system.

well, you can get those $200 models pretty loud, plus they have gain, and some other eq's for vocal help.

but for really good tone, ull want to look at used systems.

no, you can get more for less money. check out your local craigslist or ebay.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

ive seen two of those systems used.

one system eventually had a speaker blow.
the other system had a shoddy speaker, then the amp eventually blew.

also really depends on the type of music ur playing.
it would need to be used for just vocals, and inside a practice room.

usually u see these systems around 150W.
