Ok, well, nobody in my band has any real vocal range (we were planning on doing Heart-Shaped Box but couldn't managed it - we're that bad) and atm we're doing Should I Stay or Should I Go, and if we can't find a better second song, You Know You're Right by Nirvana. So, what's a song that's really easy vocally in a pretty low range with a decent guitar line? Nothing too soft, 'cause our drummer bitches about that, and nothing screamo or anything, 'cause the rest of us hate that. Thanks

Why dont you write your own stuff, IMO it takes no talent to cover another song.

I actually like that song a lot, but there's one more problem I forgot to mention - my drummer's set is crappy and doesn't have enough cymbals for just about anything. Which is a bitch. I should really just get a new drummer...

The most brutal band to ever exist is...

You should go like them...even if you don't like them.

hm

i think more like 1 snare, bass, and hi hat, probably with a crap ride cymbal and maybe a floor tom

unless you know he has 2 snares, which i think would be pretty stupid with so small a set

you should be able to do Not Everyone than. try to borrow a the bigger tom, or extra crash from another performer(isnt there only one set setup for the entire talent show?). If you cant than try taking out the missing pieces, and see what it sounds like OR you might have to do a White Stripes song and add bass, since they only use three piece most of the time. But i dont think people will really like it, so try something by Death From Above 1979. Try Romantic Rights, or You're A Woman, I'm A MAchine, and make up a guitar part for it, or follow the basslines.

Californication - I haven't listened to the song in awhile, but I'm pretty sure it's not too complex of a song.

You remind me of when I was poor gear-wise. Play stuff by The Offspring, mainly their older songs.

Meh, learn some easy punk song. Learn Pretty fly for a white guy, then point at all the wiggers in the audience when you sing the main part.

The Beatles. We did come together at our talent show. Its very easy, but fun. And there is even a half-asses guitar solo in it.
