Me and my friend are making a simple guitar with parts we got for free.

We have:

3 strat pickups.
2 control knobs tone/volume.
Amp output.
A 4 way switch.

We want the simplest wiring possible.
If we could olny use a volume knob and 1 pickup that'd be fine.
Thank you in advance.

My Rig:

Fender Stratocaster.
Epiphone SG

the simplest wiring possible would be the pickup directly to the output jack.

umm... u might want a neck, body, and hardware to go along with that otherwise it wont make much sound

if you're putting them in a strat body you shouldnt waste the other pickups. just put everything in the obvious holes and push the wires to the back where the selector switch and volume and tone pots will go. screw everything in and then solder the correct wires where they need to go with one of these wiring diagrams:

those are for squiers, should be same as what you're doing. good luck

We have a body and neck.

We are searching for a bridge but will probaly just rip one from one of our old squires.

Dosn't it need a ground at all?

It does, and it should say so in the diagram.

Sure you don't mean...a 5 way switch?
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/schematics/3s_1v_1t_5w.html
But it looks like you have an 8-in-line switch...so...Refer to this:

Regular strat switch
  [1] [2] [3] [4]
[4] [3] [2] [1]

Your switch
[4] [3] [2] [1] [1] [2] [3] [4]

And since you don't have a tone capacitor, and you want it simple...just ignore the tone control in the diagram.

It's electronics from a very cheap behringer.

It switches through 4 places.

Is there a way I could just put one pickup through a volume knob to the output?
Would I ground that to the volume knob?
