hello, ive been wanting to buy an acoustic, but have found two different retail prices for the cort earth 70 on the internet.

http://www.guitar.com.au/guitars/acoustic/cort/index.htm

http://www.guitarparadise.com.au/index.php?module=Website&action=Text&content=1105592205015-4437&parentContent=1100736946375-4406

guitar paradise has a retail price on the guitar that is $100 less, yet it seems to be the same guitar. Is it possible that their is a cheaper version with inferior materials?

it's more likely that one retailer has a better deal with the manufacturer and so they can charge less for it. or they're just having a sale. just because they both SAY it's the lowest price around doesn't make it true.

its just the retail price, not the sale price. guitar paradise are selling for $250, and say the retail price is $299. guitar.com.au says the retail is $399 and is selling for $354. can retail prices differ from store to store? i thought the retail price was for all stores set by the manufacturer

it comes in full acoustic or electro acoustic... thats probably the difference.

i have the 12 string electro acoustic version.

nice guitars but the necks are a bit D profiled for my taste.

The price set by the manufacturer is the "list price", the retail price is whatever the store wants it to be... which is why you can haggle down the price if you go to stores in-person.
