Hi all, I'm just wondering if it's safe to play a bass through a Boss MT-2 to get distortion. My friend seems to think it's fine, but I'm worried that the pedal will get screwed.

Thanks for any help!

It shouldn't imagine that it will screw your pedal up at all. Lots of bass players use guitar overdrive/distortion pedals with no problems. Although I can't think that a bass thru a MT2 would sound particularly great...

its safe, but you will get horrible tone, just like you would if you ran a guitar through an MT-2.

If you want a sexy tone, use a big muff with the bass....ohhhhh yeah.
