When has it been done? With what results? I'm curious. What would a LP be like if the neck was in the Fender style, with a Fender floating trem bridge, and perhaps Fender pickups, or just the stock Gibson pups? Vice versa? I'm sure it's been done. Discuss.

Schecter C-1 is my favorite. Shaped like a strat, built like a les paul

Mahogany body? Carved maple top? Tune-o-matic bridge? Fat neck? Humbuckers? 3-a-side angled headstock?

You can come up with your own shape.

Example:

A Les Paul with three single coils, three knobs and a five way switch.

Or a Strat with pickups and controls of a Les Paul.

And for the shape:

Rear end of a Les Paul and horns of a Strat, basicly,as said,a PRS.
