Ok i have no idea about this sort of thing, but i was just wondering if you could wire your guitar or pickup selector so that you could have your neck pickup and your bridge pickup on at the same time to combine the sounds of them both.

Like i said i have no idea about this sort of stuff but i just thought it might be cool.

just so you know, that's extremely common, it is most like the middle selection on your two pickup guitar.

that's common on guitars with 2 pups

and it can be done on strats too

ok cool. I thought when you had the selection in between pickups that put them out of phase or something rather than having them both fully on? And is it just a waste of time even thinking about it?

it's never a waste of tiem to think about tone.
