Fender, the valvekings lead sucks, but with a good OD or distortion, it turns into a nice amp, and the Marshall just sucks.

Yeah. I was thinking really hard about the fender cuz my friend has an all tube fender and when I plugged my elitist into it... it wowed me big time. Sounded WAY better than my crate. and since we have a few serious gigs coming up. I think itd be best for me to buy a Fender. And then maybe later an overdrive pedal so I can play stuff like Metallica, and Van Halen when I want.

For what you play, the Peavey VK wins.

In that range though I'd start looking for used Marshalls.

not neccisarily, fenders were MADE for SRV, ZZ Top, and GNR, you need El's, not 6L6GC's (the VK's got them, they are ment for metal)

eh, i don't think he'd be happy with the OD on the hot rod.

check out a used marshall jcm 800, or a traynor ycv 50 blue (i strongly suggest you check that last one)

Well you see. I play more blues influenced rock. Not so much metal. Well I do. Its more a 70/30 blues/metal kinda thing. I play more metal by myself in my room. And when I gig/jam I play like blues classic hard rock kinda tone. So I dont want an amp meant for metal.

I know a Marshall JCM 800 would be perfect. But I cant afford that and I hate using Ebay. If I were to find a local JCM used then I'd buy it, but there isn't.

So since you say the Marshall AVT is crap.. and there is no way for me to try it I probably wont go with that. And also can I change the tubes in the Rod to like EL34's or something? All I know is I play way more blues than metal.

I love Fender amps, so that'd definitely be my answer. If I ever had to get another amp for whatever reason, it'd probably be a Fender amp.

The Traynor Blue is a good choice. I'll also suggest a Vox AC30CC, you can get one used for that price, or a new 1x12 if you can find a place that still has them in stock. ( They're a steal at 799).
