Look into chord construction. Playing chords on the low end of the bass sounds kind of muddy in my opinion, though.

at: gangster_guitar when you're playing bass you're playing the root of the note instead of a chord. You can play chords on bass though it may not be all that popular it can be done for example if you listen the red hod chili peppers flea uses chords on bass in a few songs.
